about-usBedale Group Riding for the Disabled is part of a voluntary organisation dedicated to making a real & lasting difference to the lives of disabled people. It enables everyone to benefit their health and wellbeing & to achieve their goals through riding.

We are one of over 500 groups nationally with about 16,000 volunteers helping over 23,000 riders.

Bedale Group ride at Catterick Garrison Saddle Club on Thursdays in school term time between 10am and 12:30pm.

Our facilities include:

  • Trained, certified and experienced RDA Instructors and helpers
  • Trained First Aider at all sessions
  • Use of well-schooled ponies and horses from the Saddle Club
  • Use of indoor School with fibre-sand riding surface and viewing gallery
  • Use of new Outdoor school when weather allows
  • RDA approved mounting blocks, training aids and games
  • Regular assessment by RDA of our Health and Safety standards
  • Help with Proficiency Tests and qualifications for National Competitions
  • Opportunities to ride outdoors , at other venues and with other groups
  • Use of Saddle Club toilets and other facilities
  • Access to Physiotherapists and other specialist professionals for help & advice.
